This weekend will be held at the Escale de Retz hall in Sainte-Pazanne, the traditional art fair organized by Retz’Arts.
True to form, the association will receive two guests of honor: The sculptor Hélène Gobin-Langlais and the watercolorist David Chauvin
announces Anne Cosset, the president.
Hélène Gobin-Langlais lives in Guenrouet and took up sculpture when she retired. “I entered into sculpture without restraint, she reveals. Giving everything, receiving everything, I am looking for a perfect line, one that will satisfy me with its strength, elegance and purity. Femininity remains the source of my inspiration. » David Chauvin has mastered the technique of watercolor, a far cry from the time when he was not interested in plastic arts classes at college. On his canvases, landscapes of France, Morocco, still lifes, the city, nature crossed by light… Each watercolor has its story”,
affirms the latter. He will give a watercolor demonstration on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
confides the president.
Around fifty exhibitors
But the art fair also includes 50 exhibitors, each of whom will offer their favorite worlds and fields, with some nice surprises in store. On the painting side, all techniques will be represented, from oil to watercolor, including acrylics, inks, pastels, felt-tip pens and even airbrushing. Playing with water, expressing yourself with passion, capturing the eye in the portraits, so many emotions that the painters will share with visitors.
On the sculpture side, the event will give pride of place to raku, or even the primitive cooking of wood. Photography will immortalize the ephemeral through the lens. For other artists, it is repurposed objects or old tools that are a source of inspiration: cleaning, sanding… and that is the birth of a work of art. A show which promises, once again this year, great artistic encounters.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Saturday at 6 p.m. You will be captivated by the voice of Estelle Bibaut, who will be accompanied by pianist Olivier Rousseau
slips Anne Cosset.
