A little too late for notes. The cell of Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly searched by US authorities, who found handwritten notes intended for his legal team, ahead of his trial on May 5, 2025, where he will be tried for sex trafficking and rape.
a “defense strategy for his upcoming trial”
According to court documents obtained by the American media “TMZ”, prosecutors are in possession of documents protected by professional secrecy which were seized from the cell of the disgraced rapper, at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo said the confidential documents included “handwritten notes from Diddy to his legal team regarding defense witnesses and defense strategies for his upcoming trial.” “This search and seizure constitutes a violation of Mr. Combs’ (constitutional) rights,” said Master Agnifilo in documents consulted by the media “Billboard”.
“The targeted seizure of a pretrial detainee’s work product and privileged documents – created in preparation for trial – is outrageous government conduct that amounts to a substantial violation of the rights of the defense,” added the lawyer for producer accused of rape and sex trafficking.
The rapper accused of wanting to blackmail his victims from his cell
New York State prosecutors, in a court filing filed this Friday, November 15, claim that rapper Sean Combs attempted, from his prison cell, to make contact with potential victims and witnesses of the “Diddy” case, with the aim of influencing the opinion of the jurors in view of his trial which will begin on May 5, reports the “Associated Press” agency. The American authorities quickly decided to place the American producer under reinforced surveillance, in order to prevent any risk of suicide. Despite this device, P.Diddy could still make phone calls.
In addition to sex trafficking accusations, the one who reigned supreme over the music industry is sued in civil court by more than 120 victims – 25 of whom were minors at the time of the alleged events – who accuse him of sexual assault and rape.
