Inoxtag placed in safety after violent burglary attempt at his parents' former home

The famous YouTuber Inoxtag, whose real name is Inès Benazzouz, was placed in safety with his loved ones after an attack in his parents' former home in Orgeval (), reports Match.

The facts occurred Monday morning: around 7 a.m., three masked individuals armed with a handgun entered the garden of this house, which had been sold by the YouTuber's parents in 2020. The attackers then managed to enter the accommodation occupied by a couple. According to Maryvonne Caillibotte, public prosecutor of , “the three individuals attacked the occupants, notably hitting the man on the head with a gun butt”. Despite their injuries, the victims resisted, and an exchange of blows took place before the attackers fled without stealing anything.

The banditry suppression brigade (BRB) seized

The three criminals seem to have targeted this house thinking that it was still occupied by Inoxtag's parents, according to a source close to the case. The victims are
“particularly traumatized” after this attack, underline our colleagues. The Versailles public prosecutor's office opened an investigation for “attempted burglary”, which was entrusted to the Banditry Repression Brigade (BRB) of the Versailles judicial police. The first investigations, in particular the use of video surveillance images, revealed that the suspects had carried out scouting on the premises before taking action.

“For the moment, no link has been established between the burglary of November 6 and this attempted theft this morning”underlined the prosecutor. On November 6, another Inoxtag property located in (Yvelines) was in fact broken into. In a message published on social networks, the YouTuber indicated that the burglars had “broke down a window with a crowbar”. This burglary followed another theft that occurred during his ascent of Everest, where his collection of watches and sneakers was stolen.

Informed of this new attack which occurred on Monday, Inoxtag was forced to leave his home and benefit from a protection system, just like his loved ones.

At only 22 years old, Inoxtag is one of the major figures on YouTube in , followed by nearly 9 million people. He recently made a documentary, “Kaizen”, on his ascent of Everest, which was a resounding success with 37 million views in 24 hours, a record in France.
