On October 16, 2024, Liam Payne passed away at the age of 31 only. Youth idol, the One Direction singer, fell from the 3rd floor balcony of his hotel during a stay in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
His autopsy revealed in particular that he was under the influence of drugs. And while an investigation is still underway to understand what happened to the British star, we learn that this tragedy happened to another.
New drama, after the death of Liam Payne
This is Vladimir Shklyarov, 39 years old, and famous Russian ballet dancer. The first dancer of the Mariinsky Theater died after being fell from the fifth floor of a building.
The facts occurred this Saturday, November 16, 2024, as declared by Anna Kasatkina, a spokesperson for the Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg.
On Instagram, the statement explained “this is a huge loss for the entire staff of the Mariinsky Theater. We extend our condolences to the artist's family, friends and all the many fans of his work and talent.”
According to Anna Kasatkina, who spoke to the Russian press, Vladimir Shklyarov was also under the influence of drugs. But not the same as Liam Payne.
Indeed, the athlete was taking painkillers due to a back injury which was causing him pain. He was also scheduled to have spinal surgery this Monday, November 18, 2024.
As with Liam Payne, an investigation is now open. According to the first elements, it would be a terrible accident.
And for good reason, his partner, the dancer Irina Baranovskaya reveals that shortly before his death, Vladimir Shklyarov was “went out onto the balcony to get some fresh air and smoke“. He would probably have “lost balance“on a “very narrow balcony“.
Not isolated cases
The cases of Liam Payne and Vladimir Shklyarov are unfortunately not isolated among stars. In recent years, we remember that the sister of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon, Kate Barryalso died like this, at the age of 46, in 2013.
Just like the music producer and member of the Cassius group, Philippe Zdarformerly in a relationship with Aure Atika. He died at age 52, in 2019.
