A series inspired by a prolific story

If you are a big fan of thrillers in cinema, series or literature, you may have already heard of the character of Alex Cross. Indeed, the latter has in fact appeared in a lot of different productions, starting with the numerous novels of James Patterson. Between 1993 and 2023, the American author has released no less than 31 different novels recounting the adventures of this character, which has obviously already interested Hollywood in the past. Thus, we have already been able to see him in the guise of Morgan Freeman in the movies The Collector et The Spider’s Maskthen under those of Tyler Perry in the movie Alex Cross.

As a reminder, Alex Cross is an agent of the FBI and the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia (MPD). Specializing in psychology, he usually investigates complex murders to solve. Whether you have already seen him at work in the latest film adaptations or by reading the novels from which he is based or not, know thatAlex Cross returns again in a new production by Amazon Prime Video.

The new version of Cross competes with Reacher and does better than the Rings of Power

After Morgan Freeman and Tyler Perry, it’s the turn ofAldis Hodge to play the famous Alex Cross. Since November 14, it has been possible to discover a brand new series inspired by the literary character by subscribing to Amazon Prime Video. Soberly titled Crossthe latter is a new production which intends to attract a whole new audience, or even compete with the juggernaut Reacher. Even if the two Amazon series do not really play in exactly the same category, it could well be that the audience of one of these two series is tempted by the other, which would be beneficial for the SVOD service.

And besides, everything is going well for the new series Cross. In fact, the latter has already risen at the top of the Top of the most popular series of the moment on Amazon Prime Video, in front The Rings of Power or Reacher. If you haven’t given it a try yet, you might be better off giving it a chance provided you like thrillers of course. Note that Amazon seems to have complete confidence in this new series sincea season 2 has already been confirmed by the producer.
