three former “Star Academy” candidates denounce online harassment against them

Noah, Thomas and Maylis, three candidates eliminated from the telecrochet, denounced on Instagram the online harassment that certain candidates suffer.

The former academicians of the new season of the Star AcademyNoah, Thomas and Maylis, are taking action against the online harassment suffered by certain candidates.

“Calm down a little on the networks, please,” Noah said in a live Instagram organized on Sunday, November 17. “They are still human beings with emotions,” added Thomas.

Noah warns that “the return to reality” after filming the show can be brutal. “When there is a return to reality, they will have the phones, so they will see everything that was said,” he insists.

Be kind

Calling on fans of the show to be “kind”, they conclude: “You can have your preferences, it’s a show where you get attached to some, but calm the hatred.”

The intervention of the three ex-candidates is undoubtedly linked to the elimination last Friday of a candidate particularly popular with the public, Emma, who sparked numerous criticisms and messages on social networks.

Clara, a candidate from last season, had already published a message on social networks at the beginning of November asking fans of the show to be careful about what they post: “When we leave, we see everything that is said on the networks, and it’s extremely anxiety-inducing.

“It’s really not easy to be insulted for free. I speak on behalf of EVERYONE. So, please, don’t forget that we are still humans like you, simply passionate young people who do not want more less than sharing love.”

The TF1 telecrochet has been fighting against harassment for several weeks. Brigitte Macron went to the Star Academy as part of the week against bullying at school.

“You raise awareness among young people”

Accompanied by Justine Atlan, director of 3018, the single number for young victims of harassment and digital violence, she spoke with the students on this subject and presented them with the measures put in place to fight against this scourge.

“For some, it’s a bad moment in their life. For others, it will really leave its mark. They don’t want to continue. That’s why I’m here with you today. You raise awareness among young, very young,” she declared in particular.

“I am quite happy that we were able to address this subject here at the castle,” greeted Marguerite, one of the candidates. “I am aware that we are being watched by a lot of young people. There is a lot of hope.”
