On February 10, 2023, Pierre Palmade's life took a new turn. The comedian was in his car when he lost control. He hit a vehicle going the wrong way, causing a terrible road accident.
A pregnant woman lost her baby, a father and his seven-year-old son were seriously injured. Investigators quickly discovered that Pierre Palmade had consumed a large quantity of drugs. This Sunday, November 17, it was Jean-Marie Bigard who shared some secrets about Pierre Palmade's daily life. “I have always been very good friends with him” he began.
Jean-Marie Bigard affirms it: his friendship with the comedian will never end. “I have always been a brother”,
he confides. Thus, he specifies to be present for Pierre Palmade, who needs a lot of support. “The big victory is that he stopped absolutely everything. That is to say, he is no longer under the influence of any drugs at all, not even a drop of wine, nothing at all,” he rejoiced. If this tragedy allowed Pierre Palmade to stop all consumption, it also gives him the opportunity to remember the facts of which he is accused. “Now he sees more and more clearly in everything that happened,” assures Jean-Marie Bigard.
Pierre Palmade: a comedian now sober?
According to the testimony of Jean-Marie Bigard, the comedian would be “bruised until the end of his days”. He affirms, his friend is fully aware of the tragedy he caused in February 2023.
“There is not an evening or a morning without him being immersed in his responsibilities,” he continues, declaring that he will always be there to be her first support. “I am with him, he is my friend and he always will be”, concluded Jean-Marie Bigard. If he tries to get better since the accident, Pierre Palmade would be aware of the tragedy he caused. Its victims today have to face numerous traumas.
Jean-Marie Bigard is not the first to claim that Pierre Palmade would be sober now. According to François Rollin, he would have stopped all consumption. “To my knowledge, he has been sober for a little over a year. No drugs or alcohol,” he indicated. The comedian would have stopped all consumption and his friend describes this stage as “small victory in an ocean of disasters”. Just like Jean-Marie Bigard, the latter declared that Pierre Palmade never forgot the victims. “Always this injured child and the dead child in his mother's womb, it will haunt him until the end of his days,” assures François Rollin.
Pierre Palmade: what does he risk?
The trial of Pierre Palmade will begin in Melun this Wednesday, November 20. The comedian will be tried for the serious road accident he caused while under the influence of drugs.
At the time of the incident, he had consumed a large quantity of cocaine and 3M™ (a synthetic drug) before getting behind the wheel. Pierre Palmade claims to have no memory of this evening but he specifies that he has a thought for the victims.
“I’m obsessed with the baby who died,” he said during his interrogation. To this day, members of the injured family are still suffering the physical and psychological consequences of the accident.
This trial is
very important for the victims of the accidentwho hope to obtain justice. For his part, Pierre Palmade acknowledges the facts of which he is accused, specifying however that he has no memory of this evening. “I'm dangerous because of drugs, I'm a nice guy, I'm a good person,” he simply declared. The comedian is a repeat offender due to a conviction in 2019 for drug use. He thus faces a sentence of fourteen years' imprisonment and a fine of 200,000 euros.
