A new cultural event is coming to Sainte-Bazeille, from Thursday November 21 to Sunday November 24, in the village hall. Indeed, “The Arts Event” will be offered this year in the town by the association Les Amis des Arts de Castres, Occitanie et Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It will be sponsored by Casimir Ferrer, a 78-year-old artist from Tarn, present at the opening.
This former firefighter who became a professional painter-sculptor, with a national and international career, is the inventor of concretism. He had the idea of combining sculpture and painting, thus creating a new mixed art; his works emit movement, force, light and colors. He has already created 2,300 paintings and 600 sculptures. It therefore supports the artists, painters, sculptors, who will exhibit during the four days.
Exhibition, representation, concert…
On Thursday 21, in the village hall, the exhibition will open to schools at 1:45 p.m. On Friday 22, open to schools at 9 a.m., it will be open to the general public at 2 p.m. From 3 p.m., authors will present their works and extracts will be read by Colette Pouey, from Escassefort, creator of Voca-lisent, a reading aloud festival. At 7:30 p.m., the opening will be followed by the official reception. On Saturday 23, the exhibition will open at 2 p.m. and in the evening, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a performance by the Manon Bardou company and a Latin-jazz-salsa concert. On Sunday, November 24, the public will be able to see the works exhibited from 10 a.m., then from 2 to 3 p.m., a parent-child artistic mediation workshop will be organized by the artist Corinne Gallea. “A creative workshop that strengthens ties and communication, for sharing emotions and sensations. My favorite artistic tool is watercolor. It is a fragile and delicate way of writing. I found similarities there with the children’s world. We learn patience, concentration, observation, listening and mastery of time because the light changes very quickly. » Finally, at 6 p.m., the public prize will take place and a painting will be offered for the raffle.
