For Doc Month, Masquerades in Goulien

As part of Doc Month and European Waste Reduction Week, Obra, in partnership with Daoulagad Breizh, is offering viewing of the documentary Masquerades, made in Bolivia by Claire Second.

Clémence Le Deun, from la Obra, explains: “This projection is part of a long-standing reflection by Cape Town residents on the need to preserve our environment. At the end of the screening, a debate with the spectators and in the presence of Marine De Contes, editor of the documentary, will nourish this reflection. »

Two philosophies of the agricultural world

Masquerades recounts the portrait of the inhabitants of Tomave, a village perched on the Bolivian highlands. They grow quinoa and raise llamas. When the rain arrives, they dress up, sing and laugh, throw firecrackers and confetti in homage to Mother Earth. Agricultural engineers from the city, responsible for new agricultural technologies, observe the village. They are committed to streamlining traditional methods. It is the clash of two philosophies of the treatment of agriculture and its resource: the Earth.

Thursday November 21, at 6:30 p.m., at the Maison du vent. Free.
