Geneviève Bergmann, née Jacquot, died on November 13 at the Vitry-le-François hospital, at the age of 94. She was born on May 26, 1930, in Vouillers, where she spent her entire childhood. Geneviève married Pierre Bergmann, originally from Villiers-en-Lieu, on March 8, 1948. From their union ten children were born: Yvette, Marinette, Edith, Chantal, Martial, Robert, Jean-Louis, Didier, Gérard, Pascal, six of whom have unfortunately died today. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren have added to the family. Geneviève loved cooking, gardening, entertaining people and decorating her home with flowers. Courageous, she also worked on a farm. She had to overcome the loss of her husband Pierre in 1988, six children and even grandchildren. Since 1995, she lived with Isabelle, her daughter-in-law with whom she remained until the end, and Robert died in 2016. Catholic, she followed mass on television on Sundays. For a few years, she joined the village club to play Yellow Dwarf but also to chat with the ladies and have a little snack. For several months, his state of health had been deteriorating, and the help of caregivers and nurses had been necessary, in addition to the continued presence of Isabelle and Erika, who also participated a lot. Geneviève was hospitalized on 1is November and died on the 13th. Her funeral will be celebrated this Monday, November 18, in Vouillers.
