This Sunday, November 17, Marlène Schaff came to the castle for her traditional debrief, after the Star Academy student bonus. This time she was accompanied by Matthieu Gonet, who also gave his opinion on the performances, including that of Julie.
The students were once again entitled to the traditional debrief from Marlène Schaff on this Sunday, November 17. In this week dedicated to Star Academy alumni, the former tutor, Matthieu Gonet, accompanied Marlène to also give his opinion on the services of the last bonus. With his usual kindness, the castle regular gave some advice and made several comments.
Among all the performances scrutinized was that of Julie, who performed the title Feeling
goodby Nina Simone. The last day having been a surprise, Louane had joined Julie without her knowing it to sing the title with her, behind her piano. A surprise which delighted Julie, a fan of Louane, but which destabilized her.
Matthieu Gonet, former coach, gave his opinion to Julie
After the students, Marlène Schaff, Matthieu Gonet and Julie herself, watched her performance, Julie spoke about it : “JI loved the moment, much less seeing it again. But I missed out on the benefit”, she said, disappointed.
To which Matthieu Gonet, with all kindness, responded and gave his opinion :
“SIf you had been my daughter who did this performance, I would have been super proud of you. Indeed it was wrong and you could have been more in the present moment. It’s still a great time.” he explained to the youngest member of the group. Julie therefore has nothing to be ashamed of for her performance which was not catastrophic, but just a little below what she is capable of doing. She will at least have taken full advantage of this moment with Louane.
Alumni Week at Star Academy Castle
This Saturday, November 16, Star Academy live viewers, as well as the students, experienced an emotional moment. While the exceptional bonus this Saturday, November 23 will be dedicated to the former students of the show, it will pay tribute to one of the best known of them: Grégory Lemarchal.
In fact, a tribute to the singer with such a rare voice will once again take place in the next bonus, dedicated to former students. And this through a completely new method: the students’ interpretation of a new song, written by the artist.
