It’s the big day! The 73rd edition of the prestigious Miss Universe final competition takes place this Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico. 127 beauty queens will parade and try to succeed the Nicaraguan Sheynnis Palacios. The Martinican representative Catherine Edouard put all the chances on her side.
Catherine Edouard, elected Miss Universe Martinique, on September 6, 2024 in Fort-de-France, proudly wears the colors of her island, after an absence of 40 years on the international scene.

Since his arrival in Mexico on October 29, Catherine has achieved a remarkable and faultless journey. Miss Universe Martinique is the godmother of two associations: “Children’s Pleasure” dedicated to supporting children affected by the autism spectrum and “The Martinique arch”, which supports people with mental disabilities. Projects that she defends as part of this competition.
Beyond the crown and the title, Miss Universe is committed to promoting noble or humanitarian causes, philanthropic actions and social initiatives.
On Thursday (November 14), during the preliminary rounds at the Arena, the candidates paraded in national costume, swimsuits and evening dresses. Crucial steps to determine the Top 30 finalists.
Catherine dazzled the audience with a national costume designed by Martinican visual artist May Clémenté, which celebrates the preservation of the seabed.
