After several instrumental CDs, the musician who settled in Brittanynext to Paimpol (Côtes-d’Armor) finalizes its premier album d’singer-songwriter and releases his music video.

“A progressive rock spirit”

L’album is planned for the beginning of the year 2025.

It will be in a “progressive rock” spirit, my favorite music in the world. I was rocked by Kate Bush and Pink Floyd. I looked for these sounds for this first album.

To record it, he called on a few artists around him, like an old saxophonist friend who was already playing his first instrumental in 1991.

Hymn to ideal loves

And for the premier clip taken from this future album, Phil Baron chose a nugget, a candy with a different taste. The Loves Imaginelike a hymn to ideal loves.

I dedicated this song to Claire. She was my childhood and teenage “fiancée”. We loved each other as we love at that age, then we lost touch. 30 years later, I learned that she had committed suicide at the age of 20 by jumping out of a window…

For the clip, Phil Baron chose computer-generated images and a heart. A heart that changes like the worst thing. A heart that didn’t know how to love and love itself enough to want to live. It’s a bit like the demo of the future album. I would like to find a distributor. I have, smiles the artist, neither the intention of making a scene, nor of making a career. I just wanted to sing songs that I can sing myself after having written for others including Birkin, Olivia Ruiz or my sister Zazie.

In the heart of winter, a new music video will come out, more groovy. There also only on Youtube. Before the album, which will be called “A l’Ouest”. This will be the first sung album by Phil Baron (“The last one too,” he assures).
