Since 2007, the festival “ALIMENTERRE” is an international event on sustainable and inclusive food organized each year from October 15 to November 30. Around a selection of several documentary films, it encourages citizens to learn about and understand agricultural and food issues in France and around the world, so that they participate in the co-construction of sustainable and supportive food systems and the right to food. The Quint et Sens association of Quint-Fonsegrives is participating for the second consecutive year in this festival. As part of the Year of the Sea, a national initiative to raise awareness of the vital importance of the oceans, which will be held from September 2024 to September 2025, the choice fell on the documentary “Until the end of the world”. This documentary is a journey across three continents, following a journalistic investigation into the fish farming industry and its abuses: pollution of crystal clear waters, monopolization of natural resources, food insecurity, etc. Thanks to the collaboration of volunteers from the cinema section of the rural home, the documentary “Until the end of the world” will be screened in the performance hall of the Patrick Pépi complex on Saturday November 30 at 6 p.m. The screening will be followed by a debate in the presence of experts in marine environments, overfishing and fish farming. And the evening will end with friendly weather!
