After “Le lavoir”, the troupe from Neufchâtel-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime) presents his new play “Edmond”, written by Alexis Michalick.

Many characters, many places, two overlapping eras… the Tourniquet took on this challenge, and is now ready to perform in front of the spectators.

Places and artists

The play retraces with humor how Edmond Rostand managed to write his play “ Cyrano de » although he was, at that time, dethroned by other authors. “We will meet FeydeauCourteline, but also Sarah Bernhard or even Monsieur Honoré and all the members of the troupe of the “Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin” in ,” explains the company.

Six places of life have been artistically depicted under the brushes of JB Thomas, a free spirit and friend of the troupe. It is in these places that artists with very varied costumes teem, with some actors playing several roles.

A whole story soon on stage

“Edmond” is the theater within the theater where the local cafe owner is also the friend, the advisor of an author disowned by his time. Discouraged but persevering, Edmond Rostand will finally find glory, taking with him his faithful actors.
