Cauet, 52, was indicted on May 24 for rape and sexual assault on four women, including three teenagers, between 1997 and 2014, charges he disputes.
He was first placed under judicial supervision, with a ban on working as a radio host or TV presenter.
The defense contested this judicial review and the courts finally authorized him to resume activity provided that there was “no public”.
New twist in the Cauet affair: a woman, suspected of having blackmailed the ex-host, placed in police custody
The affair broke out in November 2023, after a first complaint. At the end of November, the radio announced “the temporary withdrawal” of the antenna of its star presenter, a decision taken “by mutual agreement”, according to it. In January, NRJ considered that the contract with the host and his companies was void.
Accused of rape, Cauet has repeatedly claimed to be the victim of cyberharassment, slanderous denunciation and attempted extortion. He filed a complaint, leading to the opening of two preliminary investigations in Nanterre, for which he was heard at the end of 2023.
