Pierre Garnier crowned best French artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards

The young singer from Normandy, aged 22, was designated Best French Artist during the MTV Europe Music Awards 2024which took place on Sunday, November 10, 2024, in Manchester, England. This recognition underlines the meteoric rise in the world of French-speaking music of the former student in Caen (Calvados).

A year full of rewards

This consecration comes after an extraordinary year for Pierre Garnier, marked by a resounding victory at the “ Star Academy » at the start of the year, then two distinctions at the NRJ Music Awards: that of the French-speaking Revelation of the year and that of the French-speaking Song of the year for his hit title Those that we were. His talent and authenticity have visibly won the hearts of the public, who have once again acclaimed him in the face of heavy goods vehicles from the French-speaking music scene like Aya Nakamura, Dadju and Tayc, Gims, Slimane and Vitaa.

An emotional reaction

When his victory was announced, Pierre Garnier was quick to share his emotion in a video published on MTV France’s social networks. “You named me Best French Artist, it’s just crazy! We have been living an incredible adventure for a year now, and I hope this is only the beginning,” he declared, visibly touched. This MTV EMA award is the latest in a series of distinctions which crown a prolific 2024 for the young artist.

Beyond the prices, the massive support of his audience, who mobilized to vote, shows to what extent the artist has managed to unite a real community around him. A community that impatiently awaits the start, from January 2025, of his first solo tour entitled “Every Second Tour”, which will take him across all of France, and in particular to Caen in March 2025.
