Disneyland charges for the best places for the parade

It’s no secret: when you treat yourself to a stay at Disneyland , it’s better not to watch your spending down to the penny, just to avoid cold sweats. But the latest measure taken by the managers of the Parisian theme park is making Mickey fans cringe. Like every end of the year, Disneyland Paris offers its visitors a magical parade twice a day: spectacular floats, characters dressed in their gala attire, festive music and enchanting lights.

An unmissable parade, for which the most motivated visitors do not hesitate to set up along the route several hours in advance. This tradition now belongs to the past, since Disneyland Paris has decided to create a reserved and paid zone in strategic locations, that is to say around the two stages in front of the castle. To have a breathtaking view of “Mickey and his sparkling Christmas parade”, you will have to pay at least 21 euros for a 20-minute parade. For the night parade, reservations start at 24 euros, explains “La Voix du ”.

It is of course still possible to attend the parade for free, but no longer from the most popular locations. This new blow to the wallets of park customers is going badly. After the increase in the price of the annual pass, day entry tickets, parking and the introduction of paid skip-the-line tickets, visitors are in big trouble. “We pay to breathe when we go there. Getting worse and worse,” we can read on Facebook. “Ashamed! It’s really Scrooge’s park!” protested another Internet user.

Despite the general fed up, customers seem to be playing along: paid tickets to attend the parade are already full for the coming weeks.
