Author, composer and performer, Sylvain Reverte has become a little rarer recently on the stages of the region. He had simply become more discreet, while remaining very present in the context of his activities with the Astaffort artists’ house Voix du Sud.
On the creative side, since 2018 and the release of his album Red sunfans were waiting for a new opus by Sylvain Reverte. This weekend, November 16 and 17, he will be on stage at La Tannerie for two concerts, with around fifteen songs “and more if you like”, he hastens to add. Encounter.
The public has heard you less lately…
Sylvain Reverte.- Yes and no. There was a last concert with my previous album in 2019, then Covid happened. A new album is being prepared, it takes time… It took three years to complete this latest project.
How does your new album, “Des Pommes et des Étoiles” present itself?
After “A Man in the Shadow”, my first solo album, a little dark, and “Red Sun”the second, more personal, this third album, I wanted it to be sunny and radiant. This album brings a breath of cheerfulness and happiness in an era that is sorely lacking. He draws his poetry from the stars and remains anchored in reality, symbolized by apples.
What can we expect for these next two concerts?
Songs from Duo Grimm and Du manège grimacisant, covers of old pieces brought up to date, some titles from my previous solo albums, and above all, the presentation of the latest opus, Des pomme et desétoiles will be available in 2025. The single eponymous and its music video were released on November 8.
