The majority of tickets still offered online to attend one of pop superstar Taylor Swift’s six Toronto concerts are scams, a cybersecurity expert has found.

“The tickets are sold out, it’s been a long time. I would put my hand in the fire that more than 90% of tickets for sale on social media are scams and fraud,” explains the cybersecurity consultant at Trilogiam, Jacques Sauvé.
The latter also suggests that Taylor Swift admirers never buy tickets online.
“Unless it’s someone you know and they really have the tickets, I would never dare buy Taylor Swift tickets online,” warns the expert.
Cultural columnist Isabelle Perron believes that scammers are becoming more and more clever to encourage admirers of the American singer to buy tickets that are not valid.
“We know, we want to go see Taylor Swift. So, fake accounts motivate people to buy fake tickets using their friends’ hacked accounts,” she said on the show. On your business.
Taylor Swift’s series of six concerts in Toronto will begin on November 14. Around 50,000 spectators will be expected at the Rogers Center each evening; the city of Toronto expects more than 500,000 visitors and economic benefits of $282 million.
