The tension rises between Booba and Didi B as can be seen in the song by the Ivorian artist where he responds to the boss of 92i, while paying tribute to Papy Mbavu.
It’s a war of words that the main protagonists are waging, and it seems far from coming to an end. The Ivorian rapper recently released a new freestyle where he doesn’t shy away in the least while addressing his former mentor, Booba.
Didi B pique Booba…
“Little warm-up”, this is the name of the new song by the Ivorian rapper. In this piece, he responds to the attacks of the DUC of Boulogne and declares unambiguously: “I haunt the thoughts of the best French rapper”. A dig that has not gone unmentioned as he continues with his words: “I don’t have time for microbes that attack me. […] They attack me, I answer, I don’t want to hurt a mosquito.”
“In any case, it’s you who needs to mention my name in your rap because it’s so bad and yes I AM THE BEST FRENCH RAPPER. Already reaching Himra’s ankle before wanting to smash mountains. Strength to you little man, I wish you the best,” says Booba, speaking to Didi B even before the song is made public.
…and pays a vibrant tribute to Papy Mbavu
On the sidelines of the clash, Didi B also wanted to pay a vibrant tribute to Papy Mbavu, legend of Congolese music, performer of the song “Kotazo”. Through this song, the Ivorian rapper recalls his origins and proudly displays the values of African music that he has inherited. Didi was recently named best French-speaking artist during the 9th edition of PRIMUD, a ceremony which rewards talents in the field.
