His show “Clown n’est pas un profession”, which changed its name in recent months, will be performed throughout France from January.
“Making sketches, making people laugh… It’s my DNA. I terribly missed making people laugh live,” declared Dany Boon last February. Today, the Northerner recognizes that there is also “one thing that motivated me: it is that the world is getting harder and harder,” he told the newspaper Le Parisien. When I was a teenager, and we saw the future, we said to ourselves that it was going to be great. The 21st century will be spiritual or it will not be… Well ultimately, it is not. I have always made people laugh in my shows with things that are sometimes a little serious. »
Towards a new film?
In his show, Dany Boon therefore evokes “the world of today, the absurdity of the situations we can experience, our Internet stories, passwords, our capacity for attention which etiole…” “‘Stop being a clown’, that’s the phrase I heard the most as a kid. I loved inventing stories to make people laugh, creating offbeat situations, that’s what I’ve always done,” he says.
As for his career as a director, he is “of course” already thinking about his next film, a year after Life for Real. “But here, I’m going to take my time…” adds Dany Boon. The real question is whether people are bored with what you’re doing. I don’t think so. »
