Just like the great actresses of French cinema, the AD editorial team looked into the question: which districts of Paris attract great personalities? In the heart of the capital or at the city gates, we take stock.
Michel Blanc, in the Marais
The actor left us on Friday October 4. Michel Blanc lived in the historic Marais district of Paris. Although this area is very lively and frequented by tourists, he found it a haven of peace away from the cameras. His building was located near rue de Turenne, surrounded by brasseries and cafes. One of his favorite places was the restaurant Ma Bourgognelocated on Place des Vosges, where he often came to relax. Marie-Thérèse Cougoureux, the manager of the establishment, remembers: “He came almost every evening for an aperitif, often alone”. A perfectionist at heart, Michel Blanc was known for being constantly renovating his apartment. “His obsession was also the work. There was always noise at home”says Jean-Paul Rouve, amused. Some joked that “Michel was born to be an architect. »
An amusing anecdote from his youth concerns his roommate with Gérard Jugnot at the start of their respective careers. In Brussels, when they were both young touring actors, they shared a small apartment above the café-theatre where they performed. Gérard Jugnot often recounts this period with great nostalgia, evoking their difficult days but also their laughter. This moment in their lives represents a testimony to the modest beginnings of these two great actors of French cinema, who would become essential figures in the audiovisual landscape.
Alain Delon, avenue du Président-Kennedy
Located at number 42 avenue du Président-Kennedy, Alain Delon’s former apartment sets the scene under the Art Deco influences of the stone. With an area of 780 m2the triplex navigates between the 7th and 9th floors, each floor with its own terrace… At the top, the largest adjoins Alain Delon’s office, whose work space with ocher tiles and straw blinds opens directly onto a pair of sun loungers. There are six bedrooms and as many bathrooms, a service bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a gym, a sauna and a hammam.
The two master suites share space on the seventh floor, facing the Eiffel Tower. Alain Delon’s bedroom features walls painted in a midnight blue shade, fur throws and period pieces like the gilded mirror and the carved wooden chest of drawers. Subsequently, the legend of French cinema lived there with Mireille Darc; together, they engage in large games of backgammon on the roof. When he entered the real estate market in 2012, commissioned by Paris Ouest Sotheby’s, the triplex caused a stir. And for good reason, its price is close to 46 million euros, unheard of at the time.
Pierre Niney, near Rambouillet
You certainly couldn’t escape the (adorable) videos of Pierre Niney with his pet donkeys. We knew that he occupied a house on Île d’Yeu, and we now have confirmation of his residence in the Paris region, in the countryside – probably near Rambouillet, in Yvelines, according to several sources. The images shared on social networks suggest a peaceful life in an old farm, surrounded by greenery and animals, including two miniature donkeys who follow the actor like pet dogs, including inside the house.
