“Our co-directors Marie Séguret and Mathieu Jabaud, accompanied by their team, are proud to launch the very first stage of the Luchon Players Festival 2025 with the opening of registrations for competitions this Tuesday, November 4.” A simple sentence in a press release announcing the return of the TV film festival to the spa town. Exit the Luchon TV festival and welcome to the Luchon Players Festival 2025. On the program for this event which will take place from February 6 to 8, two competitions, for 22 prizes awarded by the members of the different juries made up of a panel of artists and audiovisual and media professionals.
The Unscripted Competition (Flux) is thus open to the categories best variety/entertainment/talent show creation, best Talk-Show/Interview/magazine creation, best board game creation, best reality competition creation, best docu-reality creation, best sports/e-sport show creation, best brand content format creation, best streaming creation – comedy format, best reboot format, best host (public vote) and best host. The jury’s grand prize will reward the best creation of the year among the awarded categories. A best concept category was created as well as two “adaptation of foreign formats” categories, with variety and games or reality TV. The closing date for registrations is Monday, December 30, at 11:59 p.m. The official competition will reward the best productions of single fiction, serial fiction and mini series, single documentary, documentary, as well as the best director, screenwriter, composer and actor or actress. All the prizes will be revealed and awarded during the Closing Gala evening on Saturday February 8, 2025. The Luchon Players Festival aims to be a place for all audiovisual talents to converge. Creators of streaming programs, animators, digital talents, producers of fiction and documentaries, broadcasters, will be honored in varied and interactive formats.
From February 6 to 8, screening sessions, various meetings, the standup evening and events, until the closing evening, will punctuate the 3 days. Once again Luchon will be an opportunity for the audiovisual world and the general public to attend an unmissable event in the heart of the Pyrenees.
