In Caen, 20 local artists and artisans take over the Vieux Saint-Sauveur church for a week

Twenty artists and artisans members of the Graines d’étoiles association are organizing a large exhibition in the church of Old Saint-Sauveurin the city center of Caen (Calvados). They will meet you from Tuesday November 12 to Sunday November 17, 2024.

Know-how and solidarity economy

Born at the beginning of 2023, the association Starseeds was created by artists and artisans from the Caen region. For them, it was a question of “pooling their resources and practices”, in order to highlight “local know-how, in a dynamic of solidarity economy”.

Members exhibit their work in a boutique gallery located at 11 rue Saint-Laurentwhich opened its doors in September 2023 in the city center. They also regularly participate in fairs and other Art markets.

From November 12 to 17, the association is organizing its first exhibition in Caen. For six days, 20 local artists and craftsmen will take over the Vieux Saint-Sauveur church to present unique and entirely handmade objects.

Painting, furniture, sculpture, ceramics…

Here is the list of exhibitors: André Marty (painting), Bois’Art (wood turning), Cartonova (cardboard furniture), CWR guitars (violin making), Dom Création (painting on porcelain), FAM (misappropriation of objects), Françoise Bresson (ceramic), Fred Morice (ceramic), Ginette Minou (screen printing), Griffenfer (metal sculpture), L’Atelier de la Londe (ceramic), L’Atelier de la Venelle (tapestry), L’Atelier d’Ismaël (leather goods), Les Petits Motifs (ceramics), Nathalie Maroquesne (paper sculpture), Natural Prana (jewelry) and PKZ Création (mosaic and jewelry).

November 12, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., November 13 to 16, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and November 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the church of Vieux Saint-Sauveur, place Saint-Sauveur, in Caen (Calvados ).
