Pierre Arditi protests against wokism and inclusive writing

On the occasion of the publication of a biography on his life and work, Born to play (Robert Laffont)Pierre Arditi spoke at length to Figarothis Saturday, November 9. When looking back on his career, the actor also looked back on the evolution of society. He particularly regrets that a “certain left has become silent again” and that social democracy is ringing “like the worst insult”.

He “fully” supports women

Although he still calls himself left-wing, the 79-year-old actor does not agree with all the fashions: “Wokism annoys me and inclusive writing is bullshit. I am not suspect, I owe everything to women! I always say: “My father made the actor, but my mother made the man.” […] Including women in my life has always been instinctive for me. But writing… It doesn't take anything away from them to put a plural in the masculine form when there are both genders. They don't need that. Besides, they know very well how to stand up when men behave badly towards them and I fully support them. Man is not a supreme being to whom everything is permitted. »
