“We have to give people confidence”: they took over the libertine club Le Bilitis, in Plounérin

The Bilitis, in Plounérin, is well equipped to welcome its libertine clients: inside the club, 700 m2 on three levels; outside, 1 hectare of land, including 1,500 m2 of garden and parking reserved for motorhomes, all hidden from view, behind by solid barriers.

Met this Friday, November 8, the new owners, Karine Simon and Christophe Latimier, from southern Finistère, are in the middle of construction: “We bought on October 1, we arrived on the 4 and since then we have been carrying out sanitation and renovation work. redevelopment, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., every day. »

The couple who took over the libertine club Le Bilitis, in Plounérin, have, among other changes, decided to rehabilitate the 1,500 m2 park at the rear of the establishment and in which two chalets are installed. (Le Télégramme/Morvan Léon)

The return of Thursday buffets

Previously in events, specializing in wedding photos and videos, the couple decided to retrain. Both knew the club and want to reconnect with the operation that made it successful: “We open on Saturday November 30 at 10 p.m. We have permission to close late, until 7 a.m., like a night club. This will be our schedule on Friday and Saturday. Monday afternoon will focus on the sauna and jacuzzi section. On Thursday, we resume the buffet formula, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., by reservation, then the club opens to other customers. » On the employee side, a barmaid and a DJ will complete the team, as well as an usher for the cars.

“Our priorities are reception and hygiene, we have to give people confidence. To enter, you drive past several cameras in your car. You don’t come here half drunk.”

The bar has been renovated. There is a dance floor, a sort of cage for high dancing, pole dancing bars and separate benches. After a door, you arrive at a dining room currently being renovated. Still on the ground floor, we discover a large jacuzzi area, a hammam and a spacious shower. To store your clothes, closed lockers are available. Towels are made available to customers.

On the first floor, small rooms with varied decoration rub shoulders with alcoves where all naughty games are permitted. On the second floor, the Bacchus living room, with a large round bed in the center of the room and a large bench seat at the back, can accommodate a lot of people.

“Everything is possible as long as there is consent”

The new bosses of the legendary libertine club, founded in 1999 by Solange and Jean-Paul Guélennec just outside the town of Plounérin, intend to carry out a major refresh of the establishment: “Our priorities are reception and hygiene, it you have to give people confidence. They sometimes come from far away. There are only two libertine clubs in the department and none in Finistère or Morbihan, we want to offer a festive and secure atmosphere. We have completely taken over the garden and its two chalets. It was abandoned, but it’s a beautiful park, with lights, customers will appreciate. »

“To enter, you pass in your car in front of several cameras. You don’t arrive half drunk here, explains the owner, before adding that, in the libertine environment, we drink less than in nightclubs, it’s not the same clientele. » As for dress, the code is clear: men in city clothes or casual chic, women in dresses or skirts. The new Bilitis formula promises to be open to couples and single people in search of strong emotions and bodily experiences and seduction, explains Christophe Latimier, “everything is possible as long as there is consent”.
