The concert by Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Wednesday November 13 at Krakatoa in Mérignac, will perhaps be one of the last opportunities to see the British on stage. At the beginning of October, the group formed by singer Frank Carter and guitarist Dean Anderson, announced “with sadness”, “taking a break” at the end of its European tour which will end on November 16 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands .
We know what “taking a break” means for punk rock bands. So without insulting the future, it’s a safe bet that after five albums and nine years of sweating blood and water on stages around the world, Carter and his friend Anderson have made the decision to move on.
We could be saddened by this, except that we would undoubtedly be even sadder to see the energy, the rage, the power of this group wither away for lack of fuel. Frank Carter’s concerts (we remember the high-energy show given at the Rock School Barbey in July 2012) carried by anthems like “Devil Inside Me”, “I Hate You” or “Lullaby”, are always performances that the we don’t forget.
Mérignac (33). Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes + Kid Kapichi, Wednesday November 13, 8:30 p.m. at Krakatoa. €27.70 in presale.
