Burlesque situations and tasty dialogues
The making of this film highlights the picturesque landscapes of Zagora and its surroundings, thus providing an authentic visual framework for the story. “The daily lives of the region’s inhabitants constitute the core of the story, bringing a cultural and aesthetic dimension to the whole. The comic tone of the film is reinforced by burlesque situations and tasty dialogues,” indicates the director. And added: “The characters of Jawhar and Faraji are the main engines of humor, with their clumsiness and their naivety which leads them into incredible situations. Emphasis is placed on gestures, facial expressions and puns to reinforce the comic aspect of the scenes. The direction of the action and chase scenes is dynamic and fast-paced, with rapid shots and fluid camera movements to convey a sense of danger and urgency.
