After having thrilled the hearts of many festival-goers last summer, the Motocultor festival announces its return in 2025 with a new and 16th edition not to be missed on Thursday 14, Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August in Carhaix, Brittany . On the program? Machine Head, Dimmu Borgir, Me and That Man, Eivør, Cult of Luna, Carpenter Brut, Lacuna Coil and Fear Factory… Discover the daily lineup of the first 37 groups announced!
Considered by many to be the little brother of Hellfestthe Motocultor Open Air Festival saw the light of day for the very first time in Brittany in 2007. Since its creation, the metal festival has evolved significantly. Installed at Saint-Nolffnot far from Vannes in Brittany, the Motocultor Festival has seen many national and international artists perform since its beginnings, including the Buzzcocks, Behemoth, Exodus, Eluveitie, Trivium, Sick of it all, Ultra Vomit, Opeth and even Ministry and Soulfly.
After two editions canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the health crisis, the Motocultor Festival made its comeback in 2022 for 4 days, still in Saint-Nolff. A historic site that the festival has therefore decided to leave. In the summer of 2023, the Motocultor Festival moved and settled on a new playground, Carhaix (where the unmissable Vieilles Charrues already take place). Objective ? Offer festival-goers a beautiful poster over four days.
In 2025for its new and 16th edition, the Motocultor Festival returns to Carhaix with four new days dedicated to extreme music to experience Thursday 14, Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August 2025.
What about la programming ? The festival lifted the veil on the first names of this 2025 edition. So prepare to find live Machine Head. The American group led by Robb Flynn will make a stop in Brittany to offer Motocultor festival-goers a good dose of metal. Other names confirmed for this 16th edition? Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dark Citiesthe Faroese folk artist Eivør or even Me and That Manthe other group of Adam Darski, better known under the stage name Nergal, leader of the Polish group Behemoth.
The Motocultor Festival also confirms the presence of the German power metal band Blind GuardianCanadians from KataklysmFrench people from LandmvrksAmericans from Between the Buried and Me or even Belgians from Enthroned.
