On their farm in Val de Saire, Coraline and Léo lift the veil on the Cellar

This Saturday, November 9, 2024 is another great day for Coraline and Léo who in 2019 acquired the farm in Renouville (Manche) with a project in mind which at the time seemed a little crazy. But that was without counting on the energy and imagination of this young couple, surrounded by a host of children, motivated by the desire to bring a farmhouse back to life with a cultural project that saw the day in summer 2020.

For four years now, Coraline and Léo have been offering concerts, creative workshops, exhibitions, activities for children, discoveries of the environment through the presence of numerous farm animals on their land. Four years full of meetings around the organization of events open to all within the framework of the Grange.

2024, a pivotal year

With around thirty concerts during the season and as many parentheses shared with visitors, Coraline and Léo have brought new life to Val de Saire in terms of cultural diversity.

This year 2024 was also marked by their desire to commit to a new project complementary to that of the Grange.

A pastry CAP in your pocket

For her part, passionate about sweets, Coraline worked hard to obtain her CAP as a pastry chef through practical training which took place at the Madeleine de Saint-Pierre-Église while Léo put his work clothes back on for months work on one of the farm’s outbuildings which, starting this weekend, lifts the veil on its new destiny.

Le Cellier is a warm and cozy space, open to all 5 days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a range of savory and sweet meals and a tea room.

Warm place

The energy deployed by Coraline and Léo to breathe new life into the old farm cellar allows you to discover a completely revisited place with a small, welcoming shop on the ground floor which offers for sale around thirty references of tea from two prestigious houses, Vieux Pêcheur coffee and cider products from local producers.

A few tables, a small counter, all invitations to take the granite staircase to discover the restaurant and tea room. A room is then presented, dressed in wood and paper, nicely furnished, harmonious, warm and occupied by around ten tables.

The idea is to offer simple cuisine made from local products. This creation responds to our desire to invite ourselves into the daily lives of residents.

Coraline and Léo who emphasize that the activity of the Grange will become seasonal, always in the same spirit.

A professional kitchen adjoining the restaurant room suggests that the dishes and desserts prepared by Coraline, without forgetting Léo’s essential waffles, will be great promises for spending a special time around a good table.
