The “Love is in the meadow” adventure continues on RTL-TVI. The stays on the farm will soon end for the contenders accompanied by Maria Del Rio, new host of the program.
In France, the show presented by Karine Le Marchand also continues on M6. In the middle of filming, a candidate had to face cancer, as she will reveal in the episode broadcast next Monday. Speaking to Le Parisien, Flavie, Valentin’s suitor, explained: “A week after I left Valentin’s farm, the surgeon called me to quickly give me an appointment. I had undergone surgery for a tumor that was considered benign before participating in the show. I had a cyst on my right shoulder and I saw a dermatologist in October 2023. She did a biopsy, everything was fine. »
Without feedback from her surgeon, she left for Valentin’s farm, before this famous urgent appointment. Then the bad news comes. “I had sarcoma (a malignant cancerous tumor that starts in the soft tissue cells of the body). I collapsed. The oncologist immediately told me that there would be chemo. I did a PET scan, which fortunately did not reveal anything more,” she confides, still to Le Parisien.
Stéphanie (“Love is in the meadow”): “My father totally disagrees with my participation, for him, it’s stupidity”
For the young woman, it was a shock: “I went home, I cried for half an hour, then I called my sister and my parents who hugged me. » Flavie was also able to count on the support of Valentin. “I won’t let you down, I’m not like that,” replies the farmer when he hears the news.
Back in Normandy, Flavie shaves her hair. Now she has completed her treatment and started working again. “I am not yet in remission but waiting for results. And I’m fine! Why waste away when I’m in good shape and not too sick? Nothing changes except that I no longer have hair,” confides Flavie, still to Le Parisien. Today, she hopes that her story will help prevent cases of cancer as much as possible: “Trust yourself and go see a doctor if you have doubts about your health. Even young people, no one is safe. »
