Last Thursday, STAT left us in suspense, while Doctor Isabelle Granger (played by Genevieve Schmidt) was having an allergic reaction to his chemotherapy treatment.

The scene was of rare intensity, with Siméon (Benjamin Gratton) forced to call emergency services and explain the emergency situation to them.

This evening, the renowned surgeon arrived by ambulance at St-Vincent hospital, immediately taken care of by Jacob Faubert (Lou-Pascal Tremblay). Of course, Isabelle’s concern was confirmed: her colleagues and friends were now aware of her condition.

In intensive care, it’s nurse Sophia St-Jean (Ludivine Reding) who took care of Isabelle. But it was the scene that followed that truly shocked viewers. When she entered Isabelle’s room, the emotion was palpable.

“I’m just allergic, Sophia, stop…” Isabelle told her, in a broken tone.

“You should have told me… I would have come to help you. You need a nurse for your chemo treatment,” Sophia retorts, with tears in her eyes.

Isabelle, visibly moved, responds: “Look, I thought I was capable… don’t cry, ok? Because if you cry, I’ll cry too. And I don’t want to cry today.”

This intense moment deeply touched the fans of STATwho did not fail to comment on the scene on the show’s Facebook page.

Here are some reactions from the public, collected on the show’s Facebook page:

“Very emotional and disturbing this evening.”

“Very beautiful acting by all!”

“I’m crying for my life…so many emotions this evening.”

“Phew! I came close to crying often.”

“Great actors and actresses, well done!”

“In any case, I cried.”

“It was definitely emotional.”

“Hats off to Geneviève Schmidt!!!”
