It is in the episode broadcast this Monday, November 4 that we can hear Martin Vachon open up his game. If he spoke in particular about his relationship with the eyes of others, about couple and family life, the segment which most appealed to him emotionally was when he spoke about his relationship with his grandparents .
“Which person made a difference in your life?” the host asked her during the green card segment.
“The image that instinctively came to my mind was my grandfather,” replied Martin Vachon. He then explained why this man had such importance in his life, and expressed his admiration for him.
“There are often characters in my shows who keep the name Raymond or Rachel [noms de ses grands-parents]…Ayoye. I don’t know why it affects me [montée d’émotions]. I don’t want to forget them, it seems. I really liked them a lot. My childhood with my parents was a bit chaotic. And my grandparents were synonymous with something healthy, something beautiful. It’s just love. I talk to them every evening (…) They are my guardian angels.”
