The profits from the concerts are donated to the Positif 08 association, an association fighting against AIDS whose president is Doctor Christian Penalba. During his speech, the president thanked the commitment of the volunteers for the concert and recalled various figures: “ 5,000 new cases per year; HIV is no longer fatal but we must continue to be tested; condoms are free in pharmacies for those under 26. »
The association had a stand in the hall of the room where it was possible, among other things, to discover products made by Beninese people living with HIV where the association operates.
70 volunteers
Nearly seventy volunteers worked on these two evenings, including the Plural Dance dancers.
The volunteer singers and musicians performed around thirty French and Anglo-Saxon songs. For this nineteenth edition, the organization had chosen to reduce the number of songs and favor duets and trios.
To see the enthusiasm of the public over the two days and the applause at the end of the concert, there is no doubt that everyone is impatiently awaiting the 20e edition.
