The last video was posted this Tuesday, October 30. In just a few hours, it has already accumulated hundreds of likes and made many Instagram users react. Guillaume, the physiotherapist, has become an essential account on the Insta planet.
Imagine yourself in your physiotherapist’s waiting room, when suddenly, the practitioner’s playlist broadcasts a “daring” song through the speakers. Moment of embarrassment or laughter guaranteed. Here is an example of what Instagrammers discover on the account of Guillaune the physiotherapist, who does not hesitate to put himself on stage to share these juicy scenes.
And all these posts are truly real stories: “I am subject to medical confidentiality”, says Guillaume Couquet. “That’s why I don’t mention any names, but all my stories are based on real facts, which concern my patients.”
Guillaume Couquet opened his account in 2020 in the midst of a health crisis: “At the beginning, I wanted to give a voice to my patients, especially those I see at home,” explains Guillaume. “They are often isolated, even though they have had a very rich life. I wanted to bring these moments of life out of their apartments, so that something of them remains thanks to social networks.”
The physiotherapist quickly adapts to the evolution of Instagram and produces real stories full of humor, which hit the mark: “I find that humor is good for conveying messages or sweetening sad stories,” recognizes the physiotherapist. “People have enough problems in their daily lives, they need lighter things to relax”.
Slices of life, stories to tell, Guillaume Cauquet has them in spades. Contacted by a publisher, he even released a book “Heart on hand”the compilation of patient portraits, over the course of a day in his office.
“Any caregiver could have written this book,” says Guillaume. “If you take a private nurse or a country doctor, they experience the same things as me during consultations, and it’s also good to be able to talk about our daily lives with moments of happiness and sadness.”
The former rugby player is definitely a physiotherapist like no other. At 38, he hasn’t forgotten his job: “Instagram is also an opportunity to send messages, a little reminder from time to time about health in the middle of light things”he tells us.
As for those who could accuse him of being an average influencer, he responds: “I refuse these judgments that would make people believe that we are stupidizing people on social networks. No, they are not losing their brains by watching videos on Instagram. As for me, I am just here to make them enjoy it for a few minutes at during their often difficult day.
