Musical fireworks for the finale of Blues Camp 2024

“Wow, Chris O’Leary and his band didn’t play economical” exclaims a spectator. And this just before the numerous encores at the end of the concert where course instructors and certain trainees also returned to the Abescat stage to close, with O’leary, this 146th Blues Station in Tournon, Saturday evening. Previously, and from the first two songs, Chris O’Leary, supported by his iron rhythm, Chuck Cotton and Shiela Linefelter, won over the large audience. The tone was set. It must also be said that the Chris O’Leary Band offers a diversity of entertaining roadhouse blues styles, from boogie-woogie to Southside Chicago. Chris Bergson, as a guess star, also “wet his shirt” by alternating solos with Mike Lynch. Before O’Leary and his songs of pure and unadulterated soul, the audience applauded the always anticipated and very good performance of the trainees of the “Blues camp 2024”. The masters of the “Master class”, Gladys Amoros, Nico Wayne Toussaint, Paul San Martin, Abdel B Bop, Michel Foizon, Hugo Devier, Sylvain Tejerizo, Drew Davis and Tonky Delapena performed after their “students”. A beautiful blues evening where many would have liked it to continue despite the recurring untimely power cuts. See you on November 24 for the Chicago blues festival.
