The Les Toqués du Rire festival returns to Uzès

The Toqués du laughter are making their return to Uzes from November 6 to 9. During this original event which combines humor and gastronomy, big names in local gastronomy and of humor will show the extent of their talent, each in their field.

For this 4e edition, organized by the Uz’events company, not three, but four evenings will be offered to the public, for more pleasure. As for the location, it does not change. Each show, whether humorous or culinary, will take place at l’Ombrière.

Les Toqués du laughter, an appetizer

During the festival, each evening will begin with an appetizer thanks to local chefs. Jean-Paul Lecroq, chef of the L’Ousta-Maï restaurant in Saint-Maximin, Julien Lavandet, who officiates at the Saint-Nicolas priory and in his ephemeral restaurant the Locus solus, will delight the guests’ taste buds.

But they won’t be the only ones. The young chef Clive Joyce, who exercises his talents in Collias at L’Oxalis, the Uzetian pastry chef specializing in macarons, Anthony Marandon and the one who took over the kitchens of a truck with his food-truck The vagabond, Paul Février, does not will not let go of their utensils to delight the guests before hours of laughter.

A cuisine which will be accompanied by wines from the Duchy of Uzès, an appellation which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023 thanks to Florent Doual at the head of the Cave du duché and cocktails with Nicolas Lassalle, who also has his company on the sector.

Once your taste buds are awakened, the comedians are sure to make the spectators laugh. There will be eight of them on stage at l’Ombrière: Florent Peyre, Vérino, Oldelaf, Gérémy Crédeville, Tano, Cécile Giroud and Yann Stotz, Didier Gustin and Jérémy Nadeau. Evenings which will be presented by Yann Guillarme.

Didier Gustin will open the 4e edition with a road movie in homage to the idol of young people, Johnny Hallyday. Florent Peyre will close the festival with his show entitled “Nature”. On the menu, gastronomy and laughter.
