Three days to work on your zygomatic bones:Florence Mendezactress and humorist Belgian, 37 years old, will perform at Coffee Dress Thursday October 31 as well as Friday and Saturday October 1is and November 2. Born to a Spanish father and a Belgian mother, she spent her childhood in Brussels.

Victim of harassment during her schooling, she changed establishments several times. One of her first jobs was teaching, which she left in 2016 to devote herself to humor, where she made her debut in 2016.

She joins the radio show team It’s almost serious on Belgian radio RTBF. In 2017, she co-wrote her first show entitled Delicate.

In 2021, Florence Mendez joins the team of the show “La Bande Originale” on Inter, presented by Nagui. Explaining that she was the victim of harassment from a close collaborator of Nagui, she will leave her position as chrononicist at public radio in the fall of 2022. In 2023, a new hard blow for the artist: the management of the group M6 removes her from the Teva program “Piquantes” in which she made interventions, for having treated the Minister of the Interior at the time as a rapist, remarks that she is “proud to have spoken”.

“We never tell people enough that they are stupid”

Since the start of the 2024 school year, the comedian has participated twice in The Last on radio Nova, program presented by Juliette Arnaud, Pierre-Emmanuel Barré, Aymeric Lompret and Guillaume Meurice, themselves fired or voluntarily left France Inter.

Florence Mendez has won several comedy competitions, including that of the prestigious Voo Rire Festival in Liège, but also that of the Montreux festival in Switzerland, which opened doors for her.

His last show Delicate will be played in in 2025, but will therefore take place first at the Robe Café-Théâtre in Châtillon-d’Azergues. “We never tell stupid people enough that they are stupid”the artist would say.

Her show is meant to be spicy and exhilarating, but Florence Mendez hides her game well because it also reveals her ultra-sensitivity! She recounts her journey and her experiences strewn with pitfalls, with a somewhat acidic repartee and a mind always in turmoil. She opens up on stage and tells her story, that of a young woman who is at once touching, astonishing and funny.

Florence Mendez has fun on stage for herself and her audience and defies norms and human stupidity, always in a funny way! At the end of the show, she will dedicate her book “Accident of Person” at the theater.
