The private bank also remains the main support of the Art en Vieille-Ville association.
Patron of the Geneva cultural and artistic scene, Indosuez Wealth Management renews, for the sixth consecutive year, its commitment as official partner of the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève (GTG) and main supporter of the Art en Vieille-Ville association (AVV). The private bank thus reaffirms the values of excellence, transmission of know-how and creativity which inspire its philanthropic action as well as the central place given to social responsibility by the Crédit Agricole group.
“I am delighted to continue Indosuez Wealth Management’s commitment to the Ballet du Grand Théâtre and the Art en Vieille-Ville association, two institutions which contribute to the cultural influence of Geneva. I particularly salute the audacity of the collaborations initiated by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, choreographer and director of the GTG Ballet, and the talent of the Ballet’s 22 dancers who make each creation a fascinating event for all generations. These partnerships fully embody the purpose of our group: to act every day in the interest of our clients and society,” declares Marc-André Poirier, CEO of Indosuez Wealth Management.
Two highly anticipated world creations with renowned associated artists
In resonance with the values of excellence promoted by the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Indosuez continues its support for the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève in 2024-25 with a program with high artistic ambitions.
This year, in addition to its tour with numerous dates in Europe, the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève will present two creations and an invitation. The troupe will embody sacrifices in a contemporary mode, first addressing the question of uprooting in Ihsane, the very personal world creation by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui inspired by his Moroccan roots (from November 13 to 19, 2024).
Damien Jalet, choreographer and artist associated with the Ballet du Grand Théâtre, whose pieces have fascinated the world and for two seasons on the Geneva stage, will offer the public his very first creation for the Ballet du Grand Théâtre with Mirage (from May 6 to 11 2025), fourth opus of his collaboration with visual artist Kohei Nawa on music composed by Thomas Bangalter (ex-Daft Punk).
Finally, the dancers will bear witness through their bodies to the sacrifices made to rise to the height of the performances Onbashira Diptych by the same Damien Jalet (May 17, 2025) and Beethoven 7 by the company Sasha Waltz & Guests (from March 13 to 16 2025).
“Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s third season at the helm of the Ballet du Grand Théâtre consolidates the efforts undertaken since his arrival to lead dancers towards a new repertoire of contemporary dance at the forefront of transdisciplinary experimentation. The enthusiasm of the public here and elsewhere, of the media and of international stages for the GTG Ballet is unprecedented and makes our institution shine worldwide,” confides Aviel Cahn, general director of the Grand Théâtre de Genève.
