“My name is Bourdon, it’s not by chance”

The lawyer’s dress fits him like a glove. Didier Bourdon, ex-Unknownis the hero of the new TF1 series, They gave him. Brilliant lawyer, but whimsical, at the Court.

They gave him is a criminal series which takes place in courthouses but as always on TF1, and that’s what makes it so special, it’s also a family series. Since Daron’s children work for him, and all see a stranger in the family arrive in their office – after the disappearance of his partner – who will shake up everything.

But it was first of all the lawyer character that convinced Didier Bourdon to accept this role: “In fact, a series is a bit like theater, don’t be mistaken, because normally we’re left for at least two or three seasons. But there, this character, there’s this part that I I like a lot, we can say that it is a comedy, but it is not just a comedy, it could be a tragedy. For example, in this series I have pleadings which are very serious and serious subjects. And this character oscillates in all his colors. He fluctuates and for an actor, that’s pleasant.

To play a lawyer, Didier Bourdon has his models. “It’s between Dupont-Moretti and Bernard Tapie. Dupont-Moretti, I’ve been following him for a long time. There was a show where he talked about his pleadings, he quoted Brassens. So he’s someone who I has been attractive for a while, who is extremely brilliant as a lawyer, and who is always very convinced.

What I like in Bernard Tapie is sometimes the somewhat bad faith side: and in my character, it is not so much in the pleadings, but in the private life with his children, because it is a micmac not possible. He is being very disingenuous. So I like that too. And while playing on the charm of the lawyer, because I think that a great lawyer is someone who has his charm.”

Daron, a character who also resembles the actor Didier Bourdon. It was not for nothing that he was offered the role: “They know that I am a character who can be explosive on screen, a little tortuous, a little dark too. My name is Bourdon. It’s not by chance.”

Add succulent supporting roles: including Audrey PIrault, Ludovik and Melanie Bernier, and you obtain a series that is both light and legal. To be discovered from tomorrow Monday October 21 on TF1.
