a project come true for seniors

Friday, October 18, several dozen people responded to the invitation from the Association of Parents of Residents and Friends of the Foyer Montclair (APPAFM), leader of the project which allowed twelve residents and twelve supervisors to attend the start of the Games. Paralympic Games, from August 27 to 1is september.

President of APPAFM, Daniel Noirot highlighted that the association, in partnership with the management of Foyer Montclair, worked on this project for 20 months. “It was far from being won in advance given the financial situation that was taking shape for the years to come. But, thanks to you, present here today and all the people who were unable to join us, with your financial contribution, you were able to transform a dream into reality. I also wanted to honor all the staff of the Foyer Montclair who, directly or indirectly, contributed to the realization of this great project, without forgetting Vincent Courtier, president of the board of directors of the Foyer, who gave a lot of his time and who did not hesitate to provide material assistance during the events which were used to raise funds. »

Olivier Royer, from the management of the Foyer, added his thanks to those of Daniel Noirot. Pauline Picaudez, in charge of adapted activities, who was the driving force behind this adventure, spoke of these almost two years spent on this project: “I would like to thank the management who trusted us to set up this stay”. The organization of a lottery, the Christmas market, and canvassing contributed to financing the project. She provided figures for the Paralympic Games including 75 medals (a record for ) including 19 gold. Finally, Vincent Courtier concluded with these words: “A big congratulations to everyone. You can be proud of yourself.”

A video of the visit to was then shown. Several dozen certificates for the best donor were produced to be given to donors. The friendly drink ended the meeting.
