The programming of this rock festival gave pride of place to the 80s. Postpunk notably had the presence of the group Kas Product, as the highlight.

Born in the early 80s in eastern France, Kas Product was the guest of honor for the end of the festival. Its singer Mona Soyoc did not hide her joy at being on stage for the first time in Ardèche despite the bad weather.

The trio, which wrote most of its history in the 80s, continues to tour the stages of France. After decades of absence, Kas Product returns.
Mona Soyoc is now accompanied by Pierre Corneau on bass and Thomas Bouetel on keyboard.

From their first recordings, the music press was full of praise. The trio is known as pioneers of French cold wave. These are the sounds so emblematic of an era that spectators were able to listen to again yesterday in Aubenas. “We were invited to participate in this festival. KaS Product reformed as a trio, after the death of my companion, Spatsz, with whom we founded the group in 1980. Today we present a new tour of Kas’ original pieces, but revisited because there is a bass electric and synths. There will also be new pieces composed by the new trio.” The release of a new opus is scheduled for February 2025.

The KaS figurehead explains that the sounds of the 80s are resonating in music production right now. Music remains an eternal beginning, “there is a whole young generation, lots of people that I meet who use the same instruments that we used and who proclaim themselves to be the children of KaS Product!”

KaS Product found its audience in France and abroad thanks in particular to lyrics in English. “When we said “NO FUTURE”, we wanted to invent our future, we refused the world that they wanted to impose on us. “It all went through clothes, music, an attitude.” she said.

In our audience, of course there are “white heads”, but we have the pleasure of seeing a whole young generation who have no complexes about loving our music. That’s what’s great about music, there are no generational barriers, it brings everyone together. There are even parents accompanied by their children who come to have a record signed because the kids are fans.
