Two friends discover they are rivals
Alain goes to the hospital to thank Marianne for taking the time the other day to explain her test results to him. He meets Sébastien in the company of Dr Delcourt. During the conversation, Alain learns that his new friend is cycling with Marianne. He then realizes that he and Sébastien have both fallen under the spell of the same woman. Alain then gives Marianne a basket full of grapes. Marianne then suggests they go for coffee. Noor watches the scene, a bit amused. Alain suggests that Marianne and Sébastien go for a bike ride this evening. He specifies that it will be quite sporty. Raphaëlle’s father declines her proposal, because he has an audience. Alain and Marianne decide to take this walk just the two of them.
Noor, for her part, relates to Soizic the scene she witnessed. Soizic is convinced that Marianne will be seduced by Alain. Noor is doubtful and suggests that Soizic bet on who will succeed in charming Marianne. Soizic lets himself be convinced. A little later, she tries to reassure Alain by telephone who is afraid of not knowing how to talk to Marianne. Once his call is over, Alain comes across Adam who is not in good spirits. He is enjoying a beer. Adam confides to his grandfather that he sent Amel five messages today and she didn’t respond to him. . He fears that Amel has moved on now that she has a new life. Alain tries to convince Adam that he will recover from this heartbreak. But in Adam’s eyes, Amel was not just a high school sweetheart, she was the woman of his life. A little later, Alain phones Marianne to cancel their outing. He explains to her that his grandson is going through a difficult time and needs his support. Marianne shows understanding, but she still seems disappointed.
Rayane is upset by a video of her father
Early in the morning, Romy goes to Rayane’s room to have a conversation with her son. Rayane blames her mother for lying to her and everyone else for 18 years. Romy tries to defend herself by explaining how difficult it was for her when she became pregnant. She adds that Karim was her first love, and that they were together for a year before she met Malik. Romy then tells her son that they only gave in to temptation once, which can happen between two exes who loved each other deeply. However, Rayane feels lost. He confides to his mother that he no longer knows who he is. Romy assures him that Malik sincerely loved him like a son, even after discovering that he was not his biological father. Before leaving the room, she discreetly takes the CD that Malik left to Rayane. Then, she gives it to Karim so that the Technical and Scientific Police can recover the data she deleted. She admits to him that it is a message from Malik intended for Rayane.
A little later, Karim arranges to meet Rayane at the Spoon to try to convince him to reconcile with Romy. But the young man believes that Karim is in a bad position to lecture him when he betrayed his father. Karim takes the opportunity to give him the CD and explains that Damien recovered a file that was deleted.
Rayane then goes to the Roussels and apologizes to Jack for scaring him yesterday. He assures her that he had no intention of jumping into the void and promises not to do it again. Rayane adds that he has no intention of leaving him, because he loves him. Then he asks her for forgiveness. Jack hugs him. Rayane and Jack then watch the video that Romy had deleted from the mysterious CD. This is a moving declaration of love from Malik to Rayane! He confesses the whole truth about his son’s origins. Although he doesn’t know who his biological father is, he assures him that he has always loved him like his own son. Malik also expresses his regrets and explains the reasons behind his choices and mistakes. Rayane is upset. He didn’t think Malik loved him that much.
A little later, he arranges to meet Romy at the Spoon. Rayane informs him that he watched his father’s video. He’s hurt that she tried to deprive him of his father’s last message to cover herself. Romy assures that she acted for his own good and protected him. But Rayane thinks that Romy was especially afraid that he would know that she had betrayed Malik. He adds: “You hurt him and me too much. I will never forgive you.” He then announces to his mother that he can no longer live with her or with Karim, and that he will go to Jack’s house before looking for an apartment. Then, he gives Romy her birthday present. He doesn’t want anything from her anymore.
At the end of the day, Rayane goes to the cemetery. He places a kiss and a bouquet of flowers on Malik’s grave.
Rachel victim of a terrible attack
Manon and Nordine spent the night together. In the early morning, they confess to each other how happy they are to have found each other again. A little later, Nordine informs Manon that he plans to go to a concert this evening with Rachel and invites her to join them. The young woman refuses, because she does not want to see them having fun together while she will be alone in her corner.
Manon can’t help but resent Nordine and subsequently complains to Aurore about the fact that Nordine is abandoning her for the evening to go to a concert with Rachel. His mother tries to make him listen to reason. She believes that Nordine is doing nothing wrong. He’s just supporting a friend who’s going through a tough time. However, Manon feels hurt. Aurore finally manages to find the right words to soothe her daughter. Subsequently, Manon sends a message to Nordine to wish her to fully enjoy the concert. Nordine is relieved and leaves for the concert with Rachel.
Night has fallen when Nordine and Rachel return from the concert. The young woman soon arrived home and did not consider it necessary for Nordine to accompany her. Nordine therefore returns home. After taking only a few steps alone, Rachel hears a noise coming from the bushes. Suddenly, a man dressed in black comes up behind her and presses his hand to her mouth.
