Martres-Tolosane. Epicenter Program – ladepeche.fr

This week at the Epicenter, Sophie Boissier will lead the writing workshop on Friday October 18 at 4:30 p.m. A creative and friendly moment to play with words. Reservation required.

And Davy Kilembé will be in concert on Saturday in the intimate room of the “Amis du verb”, a singer who breathes groove, blues and funk, on texts that tell a story.

Davy Kilembe is a ray of sunshine, between and Spain, a little piece of humanity who warms hearts as soon as he steps on stage. It’s a journey between Bob Marley and Georges Brassens, a musical split on a six-string, a little piece of history at a café counter, a nursery rhyme whispered to our ears one winter evening. He will come to present to us the songs from his latest album, freshly released, an ode to all those we do not see: “The language of the people from below”, twelve songs like so many short stories from a collection of poems of everyday life, stories of streets and building courtyards, which the artist – son of Zaire and Catalonia, child of Kinshasa and – tells us with full humanity, and with his southern accent and his rhythms as mixed as him. The artist has participated in numerous festivals and received numerous prizes such as the “talent France bleue” or the “Charles Trénet” prize, to name but a few. Prices: 10/12€.
