Boris Cyrulnik guest of honor at the Ceyreste Book Fair

It is as a neighbor that Boris Cyrulnik agreed to be the guest of honor at this 9th edition of the Ceyreste Book Fair which will take place on Saturday October 19, multipurpose room from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Boris Cyrulnik, the great neuropsychiatrist and author of numerous best-sellers at Odile Jacob, will present her last two books during a round table at 3:30 p.m., moderated by Marie-Blanche Cordou, soul and organizer of the show. His books: Forty thieves in emotional deprivation et The two faces of resilience.

Resilience in the background

The first is a comparison based on clinical experiments between the development of humans and that of animals. Boris Cyrulnik makes us understand and feel how the violence of the world and the origin of wars are born. It also shows us the importance of love and the impact of emotional deficiencies on the development of children who suffer from it, sometimes pushing them to become violent adults.

The second book, The two faces of resilience has a very explicit subtitle: against the recovery of a concept. Boris Cyrulnik, who worked to develop the concept of resilience in and abroad, gives us here the true definition of this concept: “Resilience means resuming new development after trauma to answer life’s call. However, many political figures have taken this concept in the wrong direction.

Organized by the Des mots, des livres association and the municipality of Ceyreste, the Book Fair has changed location and date and is back in the multipurpose room for its 9th edition. Concretely, the process is attractive.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., nearly 50 authors will be there to delight the public and sign their works. As usual, all literary genres will be represented, from youth to personal development, novels, historical novels, feel good, thrillers, thrillers, for all tastes of young and old readers!

Francophonie in the spotlight

This year, note the presence of the Network of Francophone Authors represented by its president Sandrine Mehrez-Kukurudz and a few authors such as Gilles Gaillard, Mona Azzam among others. The network brings together nearly 3,500 authors from all over the world, including a large part of Provence.

Also present at the show is the book professions training center. Four round tables will also be offered. From 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a presentation of the Network of French-speaking authors and the publishing house “Le bruit du monde” hosted by Marie Blanche Cordou.

At 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., time for the regional literary return with new releases. An operation led by Marie Blanche Cordou. At 2:15-3 p.m., a tribute will be paid to Alain Cadeo. Readings of the author’s texts by all his friends including the wonderful storyteller François Mouren-Provensal hosted by Marie Blanche Cordou and Sandrine Mehrez.

At 3:30 p.m., this time it’s time for Boris Cyrulnik’s round table around his books. Like every year, around ten Provençal photographers will also be present to exhibit their works among them, photographers from the Lumières, Ciotaden photographers such as Michel Farris and Manu Martins among others but also Jean-Marie and Mireille Muggiannu, Jean-Claude Mouton and others photography enthusiasts and professionals.
