The 23rd edition of the Houlgate European Film Festival begins this Wednesday

Wednesday October 16, 2024, the 23rd edition of the European film festival begins in Houlgate (). For a week, a program offering a wide variety of European cinema will be presented.

On the program: 17 previews, including Three friends by Emmanuel Mouret, Mr Aznavour by Mehdi Idir and Grand Corps Malade, Parthenope de Paolo Sorrentino or encore The thief magpie by Robert Guédiguian. But also short films broadcast before each evening screening, animated films, meetings with professionals and even documentaries.

Like every year, this 23rd edition will not lack events for festival-goers. First of all, a meeting with Alice Bloch, producer of A wonderful world before the screening of the film, Friday October 18 at 8:15 p.m.

A film concert by Jean-Yves Leloup will accompany the screening of Éstudies in Saturday October 19 at 8:30 p.m.

The traditional cinema lesson from Youri Deschamps, academic and journalist, will take place Thursday October 17 at 8:30 p.m., on the film Beautiful de Luchino Visconti.

One of the highlights of this 23rd edition will be the presence of director Claude Lelouch, who will present his latest film, Eventuallyalso in the presence of actor Kad Merad, Monday October 21 at 4:30 p.m.

From October 16 to 22, 2024 at the Houlgate casino cinema. Prices per session: €6.50 per person – €4.60 for under 15s. Pass valid for all sessions: €40 per person. Programming and information on the festival website or 02.31.28.71.00.
