Samuel Gallet finalizes his ecological tale at

Le Maine Libre: This is not the first time that you have come to for a residency. Why did you choose Quinconces?

Samuel Gallet: “This is the second time that I have worked with Quinconces and Espal. I had already come for “Conjuration”, a work around ecology, how the Manceaux and the Mancelles approached environmental issues. We met lots of people and wrote texts around representations of ecology, the relationship with nature and the future. I have long been associated with Virginie Boccard, the director of Quinconces. We worked together and she knows my work.”

What does “being in residence” mean?
