Dun. “Shadow” takes place at the media library

The Dun media library offers an original show performed and directed by Alexis Palazzotto and Mélanie Prochasson from the company “Sur la peinture du monde”.

The body in all its states becomes the subject of a rhythmic reading set to music. A clever mix of theater, music, body movements, rhythms and words that make us wonder and question ourselves. Words that carry their blows, like the boxer who comes to life in images behind the actors on a stage that looks like a ring. The accordion music accompanies the words where a “unique and well-balanced cocktail” of music and comedy unfolds to question the symbolism of the body: “it resonates in my soul” and challenges us. “Boxing is not a game: you take blows, you give blows and you doubt. And it’s important to doubt from the first fight to the last.”

We learn that female boxers arrived at the Olympic Games in 2012, while boxers had been there since 1904. In the 19th century, doctors feared that female athletes were becoming too virile! The words of the play shake up ideas about sport, competition, and the position of women in our societies. It is advisable to reserve your place. “Shadow or the mechanics of bodies” is this Friday, October 18 at 7 p.m.

Café Papote will return to the media library on Wednesday, November 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. to discuss good books for the literary season around a snack, coffee or tea and small cakes.

As a reminder, registration to the reading network is free for everyone, regardless of age or place of residence. To register, you must provide proof of address and an identity document.
