The Dîners d’Oc are back: it is the story of a meeting between chefs and winegrowers, between food and wine. Each season, Pays d’Oc winegrowers join forces with renowned chefs to offer a food and wine pairing meal. Their ambassador vintages “Autumn-Winter Collection” Pays d’Oc IGP Wines enhance the excellent products of .

This fall, the winegrowers of Pays d’Oc are joining forces with members of the Chefs d’Oc association for this dinner: the chefs Jacques and Laurent Pourcel (Le Jardin des in ), Carole Soubeiran (Maison Soubeiran in ) and Jacques Mazerand (president of the Chefs d’Oc association) assisted by Frédéric Husser (Husser Traiteur and R Restaurant in Mauguio) will accompany this fall dinner, to provide the 120 guests with an extraordinary taste experience.

Mouth watering

A mouth-watering menu: it will all start withaperitifa moment of tasting around the “Collection” vintages, accompanied by appetizers. Then the cooks will get busy to offer an entry signed Jacques and Laurent Pourcel, Montpellier: a fine tart of red mullet fillet and squid, fresh tomato and Greek yogurt, avocado vinaigrette with red wine, accompanied by the Domaine de Castelnau cuvée – Plot selection – Chardonnay – White – 2023

The main dish will be the work of Carole Soubeiran – “Maison Soubeiran” in Lunel: Between Camargue and Mediterranean, with a Camargue bull, sea oyster, vegetable, juice linked to black pudding, accompanied by the Domaine de la Jasse vintage – Tête de Cuvée – Cabernet Sauvignon – Red – 2021. The cheese plate will be offered by Frédéric Husser, with labeled cheeses from Occitanie, accompanied by the Domaine de Figuières – Impetus – Roussane, Viognier – Blanc – 2019 vintage.

Dessert will be concocted by Jacques Mazerand: chestnut cream, orange confit on his almond biscuit, accompanied by a mandarin sorbet and to drink, the Florès cuvée – Florès signature – Muscat sec – Blanc – 2023.

IGP Pays d’Oc Wines: 6 million hectoliters

Since 2009, Pays d’Oc wines have benefited from the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), an official sign of quality. Varietal wines are the basis of Pays d’Oc’s identity with 58 grape varieties authorized in its specifications. 100% of Pays d’Oc IGP wines are tasted and certified.

With a production of 6 million hectoliters, the equivalent of 800 million bottles in the 3 colors, the IGP Vins Pays d’Oc represents more than 50% of the wine production of Languedoc Roussillon. It is the leader in French wine exports, in volume. Located in an arc along the Mediterranean, from the Pyrénées-Orientales to the Camargue and extending to six communes in the south of Lozère, the Pays d’Oc vineyard extends over 120 000 hectares between sea and mountains.

13,000 winegrowers (private cellars and cooperatives) and 350 marketers are the heirs of 26 centuries of wine-growing history in this region.
